The establishment of Northeast Parent & Child Society’s career development center provides yet another vital arm of their services with assisting people to actively integrate with the community. The project consisted of a 12,500 square foot first floor interior renovation including interior demolition, light gauge metal stud framing and sheetrock, ACT ceilings, floor finishes, energy efficient exterior windows, mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades. The building was fully occupied and operational on the second and third floors for the full duration of the project. Roughly half of the career development center consists of classrooms and service-oriented space as well as a lounge and cafe, with the rest comprising of administrative support spaces and offices.
