Word of Life Bible Institute – Florida Dorm

BBL was invited back once again, this time to construct a new dormitory building for the Word of Life Bible Institute location in Hudson, Florida. his project consisted of the new construction of a 44,000 SF, three-story Dormitory and Office Building designed as a seamless expansion of the existing campus. The building featured block-and-plank construction with wood trusses, a stucco and cultured stone exterior, membrane and shingle roofing systems, and black storefronts and windows. Dormitory spaces included built-in bunk systems, furnished student living areas, LVT flooring, and tiled bathrooms. The first floor housed administrative offices, a student lounge, library, gymnasium, and café with a combination of tile, LVT, and carpet finishes, as well as exposed ceilings in select common areas. The project also included extensive site development consisting of outdoor gathering spaces, a custom aluminum pergola, landscaping, sand walking paths, concrete patios, site lighting, roadway reconstruction and paving, parking and circulation improvements, utility connections, irrigation systems, and comprehensive stormwater management facilities.
