Tri-State Medical Center

Tri-State Orthopaedics (TSO) is a premier 19-physician group practice that wished to develop a state-of-the-art orthopaedic center that included physical therapy, urgent care and imaging. The physicians also wished to develop a contemporary and user-friendly ambulatory surgery center. The group selected BBL Medical Facilities to provide assistance with their envisioned development activities. However, prior to planning, designing and building TSO’s new facility, the physicians and BBL explored numerous development options to address the physician’s long-term practice needs: lease additional space; purchase and renovate an existing office building; and new land acquisition and build. BBL provided TSO with “guaranteed” pricing for each development option. The physicians dovetailed these costs into their business plan and pro-forma. TSO ultimately decided to purchase a new site and build. BBL then planned, designed and built TSO’s new complex. BBL delivered the project for TSO’s occupancy under budget, giving money back to TSO, and also 60-days ahead of schedule.
