Ellis Hospital Enhanced Urgent Care/MOB

Ellis engaged BBL to build a new facility for Enhanced Urgent Care, Imaging, Laboratory Services and medical office space located in Clifton Park, New York.

Ellis Hospital Enhanced Urgent Care, Imaging and Laboratory departments occupies the entire first floor, with Ellis-owned and private physician practices occupying the second floor.

Patient convenience and comfort have been considered and designed into the facility from the main entry to the patient and staff circulation throughout the space. The shared waiting room for Imaging and Laboratory departments is adjacent to that of Urgent Care, with the shared amenities of vending area, children’s play area and public toilets. Two central elevators and a stair are located immediately inside the main entry to allow patients to access the offices on the second floor without entering the first floor departments.

In the Urgent Care area, the centralized nurse station has been strategically positioned to ensure maximum visibility of all patient bays and main circulation paths. Support elements — such as medications, housekeeping, nourishment, clean and soiled utilities — have been located within close proximity.

Imaging consists of two (2) radiography rooms, a mammography, ultrasound and CT with space for a future MRI. The adjacent Laboratory department has three (3) phlebotomy stations. Five (5) separate physicians’ practice units are located on the second floor and completes the comprehensive services offered by the facility.
